Work Permit : Canada needs a ton of foreign workers to keep its economy up and running. IRCC issues work permits in both ‘blue collar’ and ‘white collar’ fields. Foreign workers or international students (enrolled or recently graduated) may seek to work in Canada with a legal status. Canada has different programs to enable potential workers to work in Canada.

Employer specific
Temporary residents in Canada such as international students or skilled workers in Canada have the option to sponsor their spouse to Canada on an Open work permit if they are currently enrolled as a full-time student in Canada in a Public post secondary (DLI institute) or working as a Skilled worker in Canada.
Post-graduate Work Permit: International students who have graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution may be eligible to apply for a Post-graduate Work Permit. This will help international students to gain valued Canadian work experience and ultimately transition from a temporary resident to a permanent resident status in Canada. The school should be a designated learning institution (DLI).
